I'd like to throw out a suggestion to create a "Tools & Utilities Developers" forum. I know most of these seem to be by language or platform, but there are a lot of folks at MIT writing random scripts, tools, utilities, Firefox plugins, and so on that it would be great to create a community around.

Reusing, sharing, and modifying these is common practice (although it's sometimes hard to find them or connect with others) and could save a lot of time for folks.

Hi Oliver,

Is there any objection to using the existing forum "General Questions" for this purpose?

I beleive we can add a message to the forum which describes it purpose, and pin it to the top so that anyone that looks in the forum will see it as the first message.

Or do you feel that we really need a forum with the name "Tools & Utilities Developers"?

Paul
