UI navigation ideas

Hey folks:
After talking to Steve and playing around, we had the following ideas:
1. Make forum topics appear on the front page
2. remove the Active forum topics from the left nav.
3. Add a tag cloud to the left nav.
4. Add the list of all forums to the left nav. There are two ways to do this:
a. configure the Forums pull down and move it to the left
b. add a custom block with links to all the forum nodes.
We thought we would try a first, then b if we don't like a.
